What exactly does a Dermaplane Treatment entail? Good question. Dermaplaning—also known as Epidermal Leveling—has extremely beneficial effects for the skin. It’s a non-invasive, gentle procedure that exfoliates the most superficial layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum, and removes vellus hair, or peach fuzz. Ultimately, dermaplaning the face allows for better penetration of product. Using a sterile surgical scalpel, the most superficial layer of skin is removed by gently sweeping away dead skin cells and unwanted peach fuzz.
